You'll be able to pick from 5 answer types, so you're never stuck forcing your question into the wrong format:

• Single choice — use this when you need one clear answer from each person.
• Multiple choice — let people pick several options when more than one can apply.
• Yes / No — get a fast, unambiguous decision with almost no effort from your audience.
• Rating (1 to 9) — find out how strongly people feel, not just what they think.
• Ranking (1 to 9) — uncover your audience's real priorities by having them compare options directly.

And once you're done, you can share it immediately — there's no waiting, no approval step standing between you and your first responses.

Can a poll be created for free?

If the word "free" makes you suspicious of hidden limits, here is exactly what you get: you can create as many polls as you want, with no time limit and no credit card required — you're free to actually use it, not just glance at a demo.

Your account comes with 100 votes to use however you like: pour them all into one poll, or spread them across several — the choice is yours, since every vote you collect draws from the same shared balance rather than being locked to a single poll.

And when you've used your 100 votes, you're never forced into anything — you simply choose how you want to continue:

What happens to my data if I close my account?

If the fear of being "stuck" is what's holding you back from signing up in the first place, here's your reassurance: leaving is just as simple as joining. Close your account whenever you want, and everything — your personal data and every poll you've created — is permanently deleted from our platform, in line with GDPR requirements. Nothing dormant, nothing left to worry about later.

Just remember to export any results you want to keep first, in CSV, Excel or PDF — once deleted, this data can't be brought back.

How to share a poll?

If you're worried that getting your poll in front of people means extra work, you'll find the opposite: you can reach your audience wherever they already are, in whichever way suits you best:

Can I customize the design of my poll?

How to collect responses?

How to analyze the results?

You can switch between several ways of viewing your results — bar charts, donut charts, trend curves, or heatmaps — to see not just the winning answer, but the story behind it: whether opinion was united or split, and how it moved over the course of your poll.

Depending on your poll type, you can go even deeper: for ratings, the median, standard deviation and satisfaction rate show you whether people truly agreed or were quietly divided; for rankings, a Borda score and first-place percentage reveal what your audience actually prioritizes, beyond the obvious winner.

Can votes be anonymous?

Whichever side of this question worries you — protecting your respondents' privacy, or needing to know who said what — you're covered either way, because you decide. Choose "identified" mode if you need to know who answered, or "anonymous" mode if you don't.

In anonymous mode, no name or email is ever requested — so your respondents know their opinion is truly private, which tends to get you more honest answers on sensitive topics. To keep results reliable, some technical information (IP address, device and browser) is used behind the scenes to prevent duplicate votes, but it's anonymized through hashing and can never be traced back to a person.

Identified mode is there for when you genuinely need it: choosing gift options for each employee, or organizing meal reservations for a team event, where you need to know exactly who chose what in order to hand over the right gift or meal to the right person.

Is FlexiPolls GDPR-compliant?

If you're responsible for polling your employees, members, or customers, this isn't a minor detail — it's the difference between taking on legal risk yourself and not. Yes, FlexiPolls is fully GDPR-compliant: all data is hosted on secure servers in France, in Gravelines (Dunkirk), and every connection is encrypted via SSL.

Personal data is only ever used for the purpose you defined when creating your poll. For anonymous polls, the technical data used to prevent fraud is anonymized through hashing, so it could never be used to identify a respondent — even if you were ever asked to prove it.

How to prevent people from voting multiple times?
